The pre-register webpage for the IAU Symposium No.249 worked for a period and has been closed. Now the formal registration is open. Below are some details of the registration, and you can register by filling the Registration Form online from this link. Your registration would be finished only after we have received your registration fee.

The Registration Fee:

250USD for early bird registration before August 31, 2007;
300USD for registration from September 1 to 30, 2007.

The online registration will be closed on October 1. We accept the on desk registration (300USD, in cash), but we can not guarantee the full rights of such participants. Please register early.

We have special discounts for ALL students. With a recommendation letter from supervisor, the registration fee for a student is 150USD before August 31 and 220USD after that.

The registration fee covers a welcome reception, coffee break refreshments and lunches during conference, three sight-seeings (please see the Program for detail) inside the city Suzhou, a conference banquet, and a copy of the symposium proceedings. We can arrange daily dinner for participants on request, but you need to pay 50USD for that. An optional one-day excursion to a nearby "water country town", Zhou Zhuang, costs about 25USD. These money will be collected on registration desk (in cash). Please inform us your choices in the Registration Form.

Please note:

  • Be sure to mention IAUS249 on the payment note.
  • The bank's charges should be paid by the applicant.
  • The registration can be canceled and you can retract your money before September 1, please send your request to iaus249@nju.edu.cn. Your payment will be refunded but all the handling fee will be subtracted from the full amount.

About Accompanying Persons:

We understand you may need a visa for your travel to China, therefore the accompanying person also need to fill a Registration Form for accompanying persons  so that we can send you the invitation letter. 
All the expense should be paid by yourselves. If you want to attend our social events, please state in the Registration Form. The money will be collected on the registration desk (in cash).

The estimated prices for social events during the conference:

  • Conference banquet: 15USD
  • Lunches (5days): 40USD
  • Dinners (5days): 50USD
  • Tours in the city (see Conference Program for detail): 35USD
  • One day excursion to Zhou Zhuang: 25USD

For Participants from Mainland China:

Those participants from mainland China may want to pay the registration fee with Chinese Yuan (RMB), please contact with LOC via email iaus249@nju.edu.cn.
